....And sometimes life just decides to fuck with you, because life has an evil sense of humor.

I've got a middle manager who is making my work life... Interesting. It's odd, seeing the kinds of behavior that can be brought out in someone who already has poor leadership skills, and then is forced into a crisis of their own devising. First order of the day? Find the nearest convenient victim and begin making their life miserable in an attempt to feel/appear In Charge when the reality is you, as Middle Manager, are about the most useless person in the entire company, and if you weren't close to retirement would probably have already been let go.

I'm just glad I am young and have options. This schmuck I am dealing with is old and has *NO* options, if he gets canned. Funny, I wondered why he seemed like he'd aged ten years in the last 12 months.

Hang in there Gabriel. Be the maker of your own destiny. Refuse to fail!!

Hey hey, I am so glad you posted this. And I'm so glad there is a name for it. I marvel and often times laugh at the goals that I self sabotage (or the world around me seemingly does).

And that book you recommended (Save the Cat) came the other day and I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying it. I'm still on log lines but it makes a world of sense. Thanks again.

Thanks for listing us in your picks! We feel your pain...blogging part time while being full-time anything is tough, so your appreciation of our blog means a lot. Hope this week is better for you!

Best,
Biagio
